The Yorkville Big Band

Shout SectionA “labor of love” best describes the band. Their music covers a large area, sounds of the 40’s and 50’s, with new modern arrangements of the famous big bands such as: Glenn Miller, Harry James, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie, Ray Anthony, Billy May, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington and other great bands that played in the era. The Yorkville Big Band also performs new big band arrangements of today’s more popular songs. The music arrangements are not watered down and performed by a 8 to 12 piece, so called big band, but the arrangements are played by a full 22 piece big band. The instrumentation of the Yorkville Big Band is: 5 saxophones, 4 trombones, 4 trumpets, piano, bass, drums, guitar, 3 vocalists, Mrs. of Ceremony, Carol Falato, and band director and founder, Rick Falato.  Al Deaton on harmonica will also be sitting in with the band.

Nomad Willy

Nomad Willy burst onto the music scene in the summer of 2008,
emerging from the tenacious vision of a transplanted Jazz drummer Doug (Preacherman) Drums, and a timely Roots guitarist Dan (DanO ) Luttrell. Together they sought and found a soulful bassist Russell (Tazz) Bullen and a superb vocalist.

The Grand Rapids Press described the band as "a sure thing." In a few short weeks, Nomad Willy found themselves opening for
National Acts and packing local and regional venues.

Nomad Willy's image and sound are universally appealing, and gain them the love, attention, and approval of each audience that they touch with their unique brand of blues, soul, and funk.
